WORDZUP Privacy Policy

WORDZUP is a word game for Android. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@playwordzup.com.
Who can use WORDZUP
WORDZUP is for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Information we collect

We do not collect your precise location, contacts list, photos, microphone or camera. When you invite someone, the name and contact you type are used only to send that invite.
How information is shared
- Other players see your name, photo, profile details, level, scores and online status, and the messages you send them.
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) stores and processes data for us. Firebase privacy information.
- Google AdMob shows ads. How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect players from abuse.
Ads
WORDZUP shows banner ads and optional reward videos (watch a video to earn hints). AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored by Google Firebase. Access is limited by security rules so players can only read and change what they are allowed to.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, friends, notification tokens and personal data are deleted within 30 days. Messages you sent to others and finished match records may remain without your name attached. Backups are cleared on their normal schedule.
Your choices
- Edit your profile any time in Settings → Profile.
- Turn notifications on or off in Settings → Notifications.
- Block players from their profile.
- Delete your account in Settings → Privacy & account, or follow the steps at Delete your WORDZUP account.
- Ask for a copy of your data or a correction by emailing hello@playwordzup.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
